Hi there! I'm Tig.

I'm a photographer based in Denver, Colorado. I'm married to a hilarious and patient guy (that I met in 8th grade) and we have three super cool kids and will soon be getting a puppy! I love mornings, candy and Jesus (not in that order). I love exploring the beautiful state in which we live, but am just as happy at home in my PJ's watching movies with my people.

I've had the privilege of photographing families for the past 5 years. While I love photographing families of all ages and stages, the maternity/newborn stage has really captured my heart. Those early days with your baby go by in a blur. So much happens in such a short amount of time and it's so easy to forget what things were like. The photos I have of my family during those days are such a treasure to me as they spark my memory and help me remember details that would otherwise be forgotten.

I believe that good photos do more than simply document people, places and events. They communicate the intangible – they cause us to feel. They capture emotions, relationships, and personalities. They tell a story. I would be honored to help document a chapter in yours.

FAQ

How would you describe your photography style?

I am a lifestyle newborn photographer. The lifestyle approach to photography seeks to document your baby and family in an authentic and minimally staged way. In my photos, I attempt to document the love, relationships and personalities in your family. I seek to create situations where you can interact with and love on your family in ways that feel comfortable and real.

Do you travel for shoots?

Travel within a 25 miles radius of the 80120 zip code is included in the session fee. Locations outside of this radius will incur additional travel fees. Please inquire for availability and rates.

When should I schedule my maternity session?

I typically recommend doing maternity photos somewhere between 30-35 weeks. At this point most mamas look pregnant but aren't dealing with the potential aches and pains of the final stages of pregnancy - or at risk of going into labor :)

When should I schedule my newborn session?

In general, I recommend scheduling the photos for when baby will be between 1-3 weeks old. However, I do offer "newborn" photos for babies up to 3 months. Doing the photos in the first few weeks will document the short window when baby is tiny and sleepy. If you'd like to wait until baby is a bit older, there are fun things about that as well - like smiles, cute facial expressions and chubbier cheeks. Some moms also like to have more time to recover and feel like themselves again after giving birth. It's really a matter of personal preference.

What time of day will the session take place?

The best light for indoor sessions is typically in the mid-to-late morning. This is also a time of day when babies and other children are typically happy and rested.

For outdoor sessions, the light is best within the first or last 90 minutes of the day. Therefore, outdoor sessions will take place in the early morning or evening hours.

What does your styling assistance entail?

All clients will receive my client guide containing tips for choosing what to wear and how to prepare for your session. In addition to the client guide, you will receive my login to an online styling service called Style & Select (www.styleandselect.com). You simply input the genders and ages of the people in your family, the style you're going for and some possible color schemes and it provides suggestions for each member of the fam so that you all coordinate without being too matchy-matchy. They pull from a wide variety of retailers, but even if you don't want to purchase new items, it can give you some ideas of what to look for in your own closet.

I also have a wide variety of swaddle blankets, bows, and a pretty woven basket/bassinet that you may use during your session.

When & how will we get our photos?

Photos will be delivered no more than 3 weeks from your session date via a personalized online gallery.

Can our dog (or other pet) be in the photos?

Yes! We can absolutely take photos with your furry family member!

What if someone gets sick?

I understand that kids (and adults) get sick. I make health and safety for all parties a priority and will work with you to reschedule if someone gets sick.

Do you sell prints & other photo products?

Yes! You can order high-quality prints and other photo products through your personalized online gallery.

How do I book?

Start by getting in touch with me to tell me a bit about yourself and what kind of session(s) you're interested in. When you're ready, I will send you my contract and deposit instructions. Your session date is not guaranteed without a signed contract and deposit.
